Products, Variations & Barcode Label Printing
Guide to adding single and variable products (Size, Color, Fabric), custom barcode sticker generation, fractional units, and expiry tracking.
Munim POS provides complete flexibility for retail catalogs with support for simple items, complex multi-variant apparel, serialized electronic items, and batch-controlled pharmaceutical goods.
Single vs. Variable Products
- Single Products: Standalone items with unique barcodes (e.g., Amul Butter 500g, Coca Cola 750ml).
- Variable Products (Apparel & Fashion): A single style with multiple variants (Sizes: S, M, L, XL; Colors: Red, Navy, Black). The 2D Variation Matrix generates individual barcodes and tracks stock for each permutation automatically.
- Combo Products: Bundle multiple inventory items together (e.g., Buy 1 Rice 5kg + 1 Dal 1kg at combo price). Inventory for individual components decrements upon sale.
Custom Barcode Label Printing
Go to Products → Print Labels:
Select items, specify the quantity of stickers needed, and choose your paper format (standard 24-per-sheet, 40-per-sheet, or continuous thermal sticker rolls). You can configure which details appear on the sticker:
- Store Name / Brand Emblem
- Product Title & Variant (Size / Color)
- Barcode Graphic (Code 128 / EAN-13)
- MRP and Special Selling Price
- Packing Date & Batch Number
Low Stock Alerts & Expiry Control
Set an Alert Quantity on every product (e.g., Alert when stock falls below 10 units). Munim POS displays proactive alerts on the cashier terminal and manager dashboard to ensure you never run out of fast-moving items.
